An intense and balanced, biodynamic, French sparkling wine from the Alsace.
The lowdown:
This Alsatian Crémant is made in the methode traditionelle from a blend of equal part Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois. In line with their biodynamic apporach no sulphur is added during vinification or disgorgement. It's really expressive on the nose with ripe apples and brioche coming through. This follows through on to the palate where minerally, lemon and lime flavours feature strongly. There's a pleasingly gentle softness to the bubbles leading on to the lingering and refreshing finish.

Clement Klur is the man behind Vignoble Klur, in the picturesque Alsatian village of Katzenthal. He's a long-time advocate of organic and biodynamic practices and is dedicated to crafting wines that truly reflect the local terroir. Everything here is done as naturally as possible, with minimal sulphite use. Clement is known for pushing the boundaries of what's achievable in winemaking, and the results are full of intense flavours and texture, guaranteed to linger long in both the mouth and memory. Authenticity and a deep connection to the land are what it's about here.
When to drink:
A great aperitif and good to drink with delicate fish dishes as well.
