The Doppelbock is inspired by the decadent strong lagers that have been brewed for centuries to stave off hunger during fasting time. This beer has a luxurious deep body, complex aromas of bread crust and dark fruit, and a gentle alcohol warmth. Lagered for 10 weeks to allow all the complexity to fully develop.
The Brewery:
At Utopian they have a simple mission: to celebrate British lager. They're based in beautiful Devon and brew using traditional methods, but they put their unique spin on classic styles, using 100% British-grown ingredients. With a rich tapestry of local ingredients and producers, it was an easy choice for them to reduce their carbon footprint by using only homegrown ingredients. What sets them apart is that the UK leads in building disease-resistant hops, making them both eco-friendly and flavourful.
